SWISSMED PRIVATE DENTAL CLINIC

San Jose, CA
In the healthcare sector, operational continuity and patient comfort begin with a properly designed electrical infrastructure. As Öznet Elektrik, we implemented an end-to-end secure electromechanical infrastructure project for the Swissmed Private Dental Clinic—which stands out for its modern architecture and high-tech medical equipment—that is fully tailored to the clinic’s demanding usage scenarios and the needs of its sensitive devices.

Power Continuity for Medical Devices

PROJECT DETAILS AND TECHNICAL INFRASTRUCTURE

Ensuring that medical imaging devices (X-ray, CT) and precision treatment units are not affected by voltage fluctuations is the most fundamental engineering principle in healthcare projects. In the Swissmed Private Dental Clinic project, a specific power architecture has been designed that prioritizes patient and physician safety and complies with international standards (TS HD 60364-7-710 Medical Facilities).

Our Featured Engineering Projects:

  • Electrical Infrastructure and Safe Energy Distribution: A balanced distribution panel was designed by analyzing the clinic’s total simultaneous power load. Inside the panels, high-sensitivity ground-fault circuit interrupters (GFCIs) have been installed to protect staff and patients, along with surge arresters to protect equipment from power surges.

  • Energy Continuity and Uninterrupted Power: To ensure that ongoing dental procedures or surgical interventions are not interrupted in the event of a power outage, a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) infrastructure has been installed that is integrated with medical devices and activates instantly (zero seconds).

  • Lighting Suitable for the Application Scenario: In the examination and operating rooms, medical lighting standards have been implemented that meet the high color rendering index (CRI) required by physicians, produce no shadows, and are easy on the eyes. In waiting and lobby areas, an aesthetic and warm architectural lighting concept has been integrated to soothe patients’ minds.

  • Low-Current Systems: The clinic’s data (network) infrastructure has been secured with structured cabling to ensure the uninterrupted operation of patient tracking and appointment systems. In addition, integrated fire detection and CCTV (security camera) systems have been implemented to be managed from a single central location.
