PROJECT DETAILS AND TECHNICAL INFRASTRUCTURE
Designed to accommodate a total IT load of 270 kW and 74 server cabinets, the Socar Izmir AYB Data Center is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to ensure the organization can maintain its critical operations 24/7 without interruption. Built with an average power target of 3.5 kW per cabinet, this infrastructure was implemented based on the principles of maximum performance, flexibility, and zero-error tolerance.
Featured Engineering Solutions:
Power and UPS Architecture: The energy infrastructure—the heart of the system—is safeguarded by Vertiv–Liebert APM (modular, static) UPS systems with an N+1 redundant configuration, creating a rock-solid, uninterrupted power architecture for critical hardware.
Climate Control (Cooling) Strategy: Vertiv (In-Room) technologies customized according to the specific heat loads of different areas were used. The PDX PX074DA model was selected for the white space, the PDX PX033HA for the UPS room, and the PDX PX015HA for the network room. With this N+1 redundant cooling architecture, the IT heat load of 3.5 kW (average) per cabinet is kept under optimal control.
Fire Detection and Suppression: The facility’s security has been maximized through a Novec 1230 gas-based fire suppression system that integrates with the Siemens 3001 and 5001 conventional systems and causes no harm to the environment or electronic equipment.
Structural and Architectural Applications: As part of our comprehensive electromechanical services, our specialized teams have completed the following on a turnkey basis: fire-rated door installations, raised flooring and underfloor grid grounding systems, non-combustible plaster-painting, epoxy applications for ceilings and floors, energy and data infrastructure work, and the installation of cabinets and cold aisles have all been completed on a turnkey basis by our expert teams.
